BELLA LA VISTA
Penthouse Project Mooloolaba
Our Mooloolaba Penthouse Project ‘Bella La Vista’ is a special project that we hold dear to our hearts. It was a wonderful collaboration between client and designer. The clients had only recently bought their much-longed for penthouse unit when they reached out to Coco Interiors. Initially, they wished only to redecorate the apartment in the crystalline, ocean-inspired colours of blue, aqua and green. However, during our consultation we identified several key areas that would also benefit from an update, including the chipped and worn black cabinetry, impractical kitchen layout and tired appliances and lighting fixtures. We embraced the opportunity to completely refresh the apartment and turn it into a serene, coastal holiday apartment that reflected the clients’ style and taste and also felt comfortable and relaxing for their regular getaways to Mooloolaba.
We created a base layer of natural textures and tones including French-Pattern Travertine, honed Turkish marble flooring, Brazillian Quartzite benchtops and Swiss Brass tapware from Brodware. We enhanced this wonderful base with luxurious wallpapers, beautiful fabrics, custom-designed cabinetry, hand-glazed Italian splashback tiles, and stylish furniture pieces made from natural textures like rattan, raffia and timber. The result is a heavenly, serene space with touches of glamour and gloss that glisten in the morning light.
Client loves: The Brazillian Quartzite benchtops. The polished finish of the stone exudes a glamorous, old-world feel. The base colours are honied cream tones, laced with bursts of cloudy whites and the transparency of clear quartzite, with beautiful gold and copper veining throughout.
Designers’ favourite: The custom-designed cabinetry inspired by the intricate and glamorous interiors of Palm Beach, Florida. It adds a special layer of detail that brings the room to life.
